J&J and UnrealEstate locked Axiomatik to September 16 on Steam. VR-only arcade platformer: shoot neon to see in the dark, race a dying battery, open Schrödinger boxes for cats.
Steam now prints a hard date on the listing that spent most of the summer as “Coming soon.” Axiomatik unlocks September 16, 2026 as a VR-only title from developer J&J and publisher UnrealEstate. XR Source already had the 16th on its September slate. The store page matches: OpenXR / SteamVR, tracked controllers, seated or standing, Windows only.

Shoot to see
The pitch is unusually specific for a mid-tier SteamVR slot. You are a robot inside an AI pathfinding training program with a draining battery. The only way to see is a light gun that fires bouncing balls; each hit paints neon stripes that reveal geometry. Run out of bullets or time and you reboot. The studio’s own site, UnrealEstate, frames the loop as reinforced learning cosplay: struggle for survival, then compete on a global leaderboard.
That “Shoot-2-See” mechanic sits under a stack of physics toys the team is not shy about naming. Schrödinger boxes can yield cats dead or alive (and glowing). Wave–particle portals lean on a double-slit gag. Relativistic pickups slow the clock when you move faster. Multiple gun models — single shot, spread, bubble hammer, exploding child-balls — change how you paint light rather than how you kill enemies. There are no enemies. Time is the antagonist.

Demo already proved the tone
A Steam demo shipped February 6, 2026 with three maps plus a tutorial. Community devlogs since then added Hard mode (less time, fewer bullets), a high-score formula that punishes wasteful neon, and a seated mode. The full build is still single-player, VR-only, with Steam Achievements and stats. Languages listed on Steam are English, German, and Japanese (full audio on English and German).
Price is not on the store page yet. Wishlist is live. Hardware targets in the system requirements are PC VR first — RTX 3060 class recommended — with Quest 2 / Quest 3, Index, and Focus 3 named under VR Support for OpenXR / SteamVR paths, not a native Quest store SKU.

Why the date matters on this calendar
September 16 is already loud: Snap’s SPECS launch event lands the same day, Bomb the Hill hits Quest, and the Steam Frame rumor clock is still ticking inside Valve’s summer window. Axiomatik is not competing with any of that for headlines. It is a short, score-chasing neon arcade piece with a clear mechanic — visibility as ammunition — landing eight days from now on a page that finally stopped saying “Coming soon.”
Wishlist it on Steam if a one-hour VR speedrun about cats and battery anxiety sounds like the right break from extraction shooters. Studio detail and the axiom list live at unrealestate.net.
