Woojer’s Vest 4 Launched at $349. A Year Later, Its U.S. Store Lists It at $479

Woojer CUT prices when it launched its fourth-generation haptic line last October. That cut has now MOSTLY been UNWOUND. As of October 6, 2026, Woojer’s U.S. web store lists the VEST 4 at a REGULAR price of $479, with a “sale” price of $407. When the company ANNOUNCED the product in October 2025, the SAME vest LAUNCHED at $349.

What Woojer Promised at Launch

Woojer’s Series 4 announcement on October 13, 2025 led with PRICE. The Core Black Vest 4 was $349, “down from $499 for the previous generation,” and the white MADE FOR META edition was $369. The Strap 4 Core Black was $129, DOWN from $179, according to Tech Edition’s report on the release. Woojer pitched the line as LIGHTER and SLIMMER, with up to 10 HOURS of battery life, sizes S through 3XL, and retail placement at Best Buy, Costco, and Sam’s Club.

What the Store Shows Today

Metaverse Watcher checked Woojer’s U.S. storefront, which prices in U.S. dollars, on October 6. Here is what it LISTS:

  • Vest 4 (Core Black): $479 regular, $407 sale. That list price is 37% ABOVE the $349 launch price and ONLY $20 below the Vest 3’s old $499.
  • Vest 4 Made for Meta: $499 regular, $424 sale, against $369 at launch. The list price now EQUALS what Woojer called the previous generation’s price.
  • Strap 4: $169 regular, $143 sale, against $129 at launch, a 31% INCREASE at list.

The discounts are UNIFORM, at roughly 15% off EVERY item, which makes them look more like a STANDING promotion than a CLEARANCE. Even at the SALE price, a buyer pays $58 MORE for the black vest than the launch price, and $55 more for the Made for Meta model. Woojer has NOT published an EXPLANATION for the new prices that we could find, and we are not going to GUESS at one. The launch coverage we reviewed did not describe the $349 figure as INTRODUCTORY.

What the Money Buys

The HARDWARE is the SAME product reviewers have been testing all year. In his Mixed review, published in July, James Bruce describes SIX transducers: two on the front, two on the back, and one on each side of the waist, all RESPONDING to frequencies from 1Hz to 250Hz. The vest weighs about 1.5 kg (3.3 lb), and it takes audio over Bluetooth, a 3.5mm cable, or USB-C, then PASSES it on to your HEADPHONES.

That design is the product’s central TRADE-OFF. Woojer does NOT integrate with games DIRECTLY. The vest listens to the audio signal and turns BASS into MOTION, so it works with ANY headset, console, or film. However, as Bruce puts it, “It works with everything, but it understands nothing.” The input is FUNDAMENTALLY stereo, so it cannot tell you that you were hit in the left shoulder the way a vest receiving GAME TELEMETRY can. He also MEASURED about 140ms of LATENCY running Bluetooth in and Bluetooth out, and recommends WIRED audio for rhythm games and fast shooters.

Bruce’s verdict was STRONGLY positive. He called it “one of the most EFFECTIVE upgrades for immersion” he had used in years, but WARNED that it “costs roughly as much as an entry-level VR headset.” He put the price at anywhere from $349 to $499, depending on location and whatever PROMOTION Woojer was running. At $479 list in the U.S., the vest NOW sits at the TOP of that range.

Why It Matters

Woojer sells its HAPTICS through MAINSTREAM retailers, and its 2025 pitch was explicitly about ACCESSIBILITY: more vest for LESS money. With the list price back near Vest 3 levels, buyers are PAYING close to OLD prices for the Series 4 improvements. That is not a reason to skip the product, but it does CHANGE the math. Anyone who priced the vest from launch coverage should CHECK the current listing, and should treat the “sale” tag as the EFFECTIVE price rather than a SHORT-TERM deal.
