An Abu Dhabi studio is betting that a VR game can make OFFICE WORK UNSETTLING without asking you to stand up. GOOD MORNING [EMPLOYEE NAME] VR, from Shababeek Labs, is a SEATED narrative MYSTERY set at a fictional company called Consolidated Dynamics, and its Steam page lists a Q4 2026 release. UploadVR spotlighted the trailer on October 18 and reported that the studio is TARGETING Quest and PC VR.
The pitch is CLEAR. The specifics are LESS so: the studio’s own STORE PAGE gives TWO different RUNTIMES, and nothing we found shows a Meta Horizon Store listing for the standalone Quest version yet.

What the game is
You play a NEW HIRE over your FIRST twelve in-game days. Each day opens with a briefing on CASSETTE, a VOICE on the headset walks you through the tasks, and in the evening a “Relaxation Protocol” tape sends home a game the company says will help you switch off. The Steam page LISTS SWITCHBOARDS, pneumatic tubes and “banks of analog machinery that has no business still running” among the hands-on tasks. In the game’s world the technology “forked” in the 1930s, so computers stayed ANALOG and phones stayed WIRED.
Founder Ahmad Abdallah told UploadVR it is “a slow-burn psychological mystery, rather than horror,” and the store page’s content notes AGREE: NO jump scares, NO gore, and ONE optional flashing-visuals moment that can be turned off. The page promises THREE endings “decided by a single choice,” full English voice acting with subtitles, and accessibility options for height adjustment, reach assist and colorblind players.
The SEATED design is the MOST practical part of the pitch. The page says PLAINLY: “No walking, no locomotion, no motion sickness.” For a market where COMFORT still filters who buys a headset game, a desk-bound design that keeps everything within arm’s reach is a REAL selling POINT, not just a style choice.

Two runtimes on one page
The Steam description says the game runs “FOUR to SIX hours, start to finish,” which MATCHES what UploadVR reported. The FEATURES list on the SAME page says the twelve days take “roughly TWO to FOUR hours.” Those ranges overlap only at FOUR hours, and for a premium narrative game the difference MATTERS when a price is eventually set. Shababeek has NOT listed a PRICE.
The system requirements carry a SMALLER slip. The MINIMUM spec asks for 8 GB of RAM, a GTX 1060 6 GB or RX 580 8 GB, and Windows 10 64-bit; the RECOMMENDED spec lists an RTX 2060 or RX 5700 XT but reads “16 MB RAM,” which is LESS than the minimum and appears to be a TYPO. Both tiers list 6 GB of storage and SteamVR or Oculus PC support.
Quest, but which Quest build?
UploadVR reports a Quest and PC VR release, and the Shababeek Labs website tags the game “Meta Quest 3 & 3S” and “Quest 3 · PCVR · Seated VR.” The Steam page, however, lists Quest 2, 3, 3S and Pro ONLY through Link, Air Link or Steam Link, alongside Index, Vive, Rift and Windows Mixed Reality. That is a PC VR COMPATIBILITY list, not a STANDALONE release. We found NO Meta Horizon Store page for the game at the time of writing, so a native Quest version is the studio’s STATED target rather than something buyers can WISHLIST on Meta’s store TODAY.
The trailer is also not brand NEW. Shababeek shared a reveal trailer on LinkedIn in AUGUST, and Abdallah posted a GAMEPLAY-focused cut on Reddit’s r/virtualreality on August 13 after commenters said an earlier trailer did not show the game. In that post he wrote that the trailer has NO music and that “every word you hear is the company talking to you.”

What to watch
THREE things will tell us whether this is a SERIOUS Q4 release or a wishlist PLACEHOLDER: a FIRM date and price on Steam, a Meta Horizon Store listing that confirms a NATIVE Quest build, and ONE runtime figure instead of two. Until then, the STRONGEST evidence is what the screenshots and store copy already show: a TACTILE, seated design built around desk tasks, which is exactly the kind of game standalone headsets handle WELL.
