Squingle Arcade is locking a SteamVR date of September 9, 2026, according to UploadVR’s September release calendar. The free-to-play VR and mixed-reality puzzler has been live on Meta Quest since July 9. Steam still shows Coming Soon on the store page, with wishlist open.

Developer Ben Outram and publisher VRAL Games position Arcade as a faster, score-chasing sequel to the 2021 original Squingle. Players guide twin revolving orbs through morphing tubular mazes, collect pods, avoid edges and enemies, and race ghost runs for medals. The Steam listing promises more than 100 levels, hand tracking, controller support, and asynchronous leaderboards once a gold medal unlocks each board.
Already free on Quest
UploadVR covered the Quest launch on July 9: free-to-play, VR or passthrough MR, seated or room-scale, with levels that scale from desk size to full-room sculptures. The original paid Squingle sits at 4.8 stars on the Horizon Store at $19.99. Arcade launched first on Quest; Vision Pro and Pico were named as later targets with no firm dates then.

What Steam adds on September 9
PC VR brings the same free-to-play model to SteamVR-compatible headsets. The Steam page lists Valve Index and Meta Quest / Oculus Touch controllers, OpenXR-style sitting and standing play, and in-game purchases for cosmetics. System floor is modest: Windows 10, GTX 1060 / RX 480 class GPU, 8 GB RAM. Price remains $0 at the gate; monetization is cosmetic skins unlocked by clearing level sets, per the Quest coverage.
Why it matters this week
September’s Quest and Steam calendars are crowded. Arcade is one of the few free-to-play MR titles with a hard Steam day on the UploadVR slate, four days before Detective VR’s Steam and PS VR2 launch and a week before Sol Protocol’s Quest Early Access. If you already cleared the Quest version, the Steam build is the place to chase leaderboards on Index or a PCVR link. If you have not, the Quest free download is still the quickest way in before the 9th.
