Streets of Miami VR now has a hard Quest date. MDRNgames’ developer site lists September 17, 2026 for Meta Quest, with Steam PC VR pushed to January 2027. That is clearer than the Meta listing’s “Coming September 2026” line and the Steam page’s current “Coming soon” stub.
Quest Store DB mirrors a $24.99 pre-order for the full Meta build, with Quest 2, Quest Pro, Quest 3, and Quest 3S listed. A free demo is already live on Quest and Steam: after a VR tutorial covering movement, combat, driving, and spray painting, players get a short timed sandbox slice of the 1980s Miami strip.
What the game is
Per the Steam and Meta store copy, Streets of Miami is a single-player open-world crime sandbox set in Miami Beach, 1984. Players start with almost nothing — a cramped apartment shared with friend Danny — then scrape cash, buy weapons and vehicles, and climb into riskier jobs. The pitch leans on physical VR interaction: props you can grab and throw, face-to-face street work, and both first-person VR and a third-person “classic” camera on PC.
Comfort is tagged Intense; the age rating on Quest Store DB is Teen 13+. Offline play is listed as supported on the Quest mirror. Developer MDRNgames Inc. is a small outfit; the Steam AI disclosure notes scripts were assisted with tools because the project is effectively solo.
Why September 17 matters
September 17 is already one of the densest VR days of the month on UploadVR’s calendar: CleanSheet Soccer 2 and Sol Protocol on Quest, CONVRGENCE 1.0 on Steam, Exoshock’s open beta, and Omega Pilot Evolution’s Steam lock. Streets of Miami is the open-world crime outlier in that stack — if the developer site date holds.
