Three VR studios PUBLISHED their own Steam Autumn Sale discounts on STORE pages BEFORE Valve’s public feed said a word — and two of them NAMED the window as OCTOBER 1 to OCTOBER 8. Valve’s Steamworks calendar later matched that schedule: the 2026 Autumn Sale runs October 1–8 at 10 a.m. Pacific.
According to Mixed News, the earliest post came from Vigo Creative on SEPTEMBER 28, telling Wild West Panic players the sale was “just around the corner, from October 1 to 8,” while also covering the game’s Steam Frame arrival. Size Does Matter followed on the sYs — Save Your Soul page at 23:13 UTC on September 30, describing the Autumn Sale as LIVE with a 50% discount — roughly 18 hours BEFORE the Real VR Fishing schedule said the sale would start.
Real VR Fishing named the clock
The most PRECISE studio note came from Devs United Games on the Real VR Fishing page at 09:27 UTC on October 1: “From October 1 through October 8 at 10 AM PT, enjoy 30% OFF Real VR Fishing and ALL DLCs on Steam.” Mixed News says it was the ONLY one of the three to give a TIME of day. That line now matches Valve’s own Steamworks Autumn Sale 2026 documentation.
When Mixed News checked Valve’s Steam-wide news feed at 14:43 UTC on October 1, the newest entry was still a Party-Based RPG Fest note from September 14 — no Autumn Sale POST from Valve yet. The same store READ showed Real VR Fishing, sYs, and Wild West Panic still at FULL price, more than two hours before the 10 a.m. Pacific flip. Two OTHER VR titles already carried discounts at that moment: CONVRGENCE and Kayak VR: Mirage.
Not a leak — just studios shipping their own discounts
None of this is a secret dump. Each studio ANNOUNCED its own discount on its own STORE page. Steam later posted a public “Steam Autumn Sale is here!” note on the platform news channel, and partner docs confirm the same OCTOBER window. An early-October Autumn Sale is also not new: Mixed News notes a Ragnarock post from September 29, 2025 that framed last year’s cut as running “from now until October 6.”
For headset OWNERS hunting SteamVR deals this week, the calendar is now clear through OCTOBER 8 at 10 a.m. Pacific. Steam Next Fest follows on October 19. Metaverse Watcher will keep tracking VR titles that move during the SALE — without treating studio store posts as Valve leaks.
