Maxon One 2027.0 Puts an MCP Server in Autograph and a Scatter System in Cinema 4D

Maxon SHIPPED its Fall 2026 ecosystem release on October 14, branding the drop as Maxon One 2027.0 across Cinema 4D, Autograph, ZBrush, Redshift and Red Giant. For spatial and metaverse pipelines the two headlines that matter are Cinema 4D’s new SCATTER system for dense WORLD BUILDING, and Autograph’s built-in Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets AI AGENTS drive COMPOSITING workflows — including JOINT CONTROL of Cinema 4D.

Cinema 4D Scatter and Liquid FX

Cinema 4D 2027.0 adds a procedural Scatter Generator and Scatter Tag that Maxon calls one of the product’s MOST REQUESTED features. Artists can POPULATE surfaces with vegetation, rocks, debris and crowds using Surface Grid, Area Weighted, UV Grid and Spline Projection modes, then FILTER by altitude, slope and curvature. CLUSTERS, proximity masks and MoGraph Fields keep artistic CONTROL after the scatter lands. Liquid FX sits on top of existing liquid SIMULATIONS and AUTO-GENERATES foam, spray and bubbles that RESPOND to the fluid — detail that would otherwise demand a much higher SIM RESOLUTION.

The same release makes Nodes Field and Nodes Effector MCP-COMPATIBLE, so custom fields can be BUILT with AI assistance inside Cinema 4D rather than only through Autograph’s new BRIDGE.

Autograph’s MCP Server

Autograph 2027.0 embeds a native MCP SERVER. Maxon’s support notes say agents such as Claude or ChatGPT can CONSTRUCT compositions, use native interpolators, BUILD responsive layouts, or CONTROL Autograph and Cinema 4D together for automated 2D/3D pipelines. Artists still edit and direct the work inside the app; the server is OPTIONAL and switched on when needed.

Alongside MCP, Autograph gains its FIRST DIRECT connection with Cinema 4D: COPY and PASTE of cameras, lights, nulls, compatible primitives and their animation into Autograph’s 3D workspace. Animation is BAKED per frame so expression- and MoGraph-driven motion ARRIVES matching the VIEWPORT.

What Else Shipped

ZBrush adds a UV EDITOR with UDIM and texel-density support, plus Selection Sets that SAVE Polygroups, masks and morph targets. Redshift gets a reworked memory architecture, FASTER IPR feedback, procedural FUR and FIBERS at render time, and NVIDIA RTX Spark support. Red Giant introduces Scene Light, an AI-powered depth-aware RELIGHTING tool for After Effects. Maxon says the suite became AVAILABLE beginning October 14, 2026.

None of this is a headset DRIVER, but SCATTERED environments, AGENT-SCRIPTABLE compositing and tighter C4D-to-Autograph handoff are exactly the TOOLING layer spatial shows, XR marketing and metaverse WORLDS already lean on.
