Rokid has put a DATE on its next hardware reveal. On October 9 the Hangzhou company posted a TEASER for Rokid Jungle 2026, an AI glasses launch event set for October 27 in Hangzhou under the slogan “更智能,更出彩”, roughly “smarter, more colorful.” The SECOND-generation Rokid Glasses are the ONLY CONFIRMED product. A FULL-COLOR display model is what the industry EXPECTS, but Rokid itself has NOT announced one.

What Rokid has actually confirmed
The second-generation Rokid AI Glasses ALREADY had their PUBLIC debut. According to Guandian, the company showed them at the fifth Global Digital Trade Expo in Hangzhou in LATE September and positioned them as its second-generation, full-feature AI glasses WITH a display. Rokid said the product will be FORMALLY launched on October 27, and that the SALES plan will be announced at that event. No PRICE, ship DATE, or market list has been published yet.
The teaser poster, as described by VR Tuoluo, uses a transparent prism as its main visual and works red, yellow, and blue into the Chinese character for “colorful.” That is a DELIBERATE hint. It is NOT a spec sheet.
The full-color case rests on reporting, not on Rokid
The current Rokid Glasses use a SINGLE-green DISPLAY. VR Tuoluo reports that founder Misa said at the company’s ecosystem conference that an UPGRADED Rokid Glasses would arrive in 2026, did not RULE OUT full color, and named WEIGHT, speakers, and light leakage as areas to improve.
Trade outlet OFweek Wearables goes FURTHER. It wrote on September 29 that the second-generation glasses shown at the expo change LITTLE from the first, and argued that a full-color prototype, still at the EVT stage by its account, is the LIKELIER HEADLINER on October 27. Based on what it says it has learned, OFweek expects a JBD full-color MicroLED light engine paired with Goertek full-color SRG waveguides, with MASS production more likely in the first half of 2027. OFweek labels this its OWN inference from public information and WARNS readers not to treat it as a basis for important decisions.
The sourcing also DISAGREES on one detail. OFweek names the JBD “Hummingbird Mini 2” engine, while VR Tuoluo, citing industry reports, calls it “Hummingbird II.” NEITHER name comes from Rokid.
Price Talk Is Guesswork
In an October 10 commentary, OFweek estimated a bill of materials of ABOUT 3,000 yuan for a full-color model built on one MicroLED engine feeding two waveguides, and SPECULATED that first buyers could pay UNDER 4,000 yuan, helped by China’s 15% national subsidy. It also expects the full-color version to go on sale NEXT year. Treat all THREE numbers as ANALYST estimates, not leaks and NOT Rokid guidance.
Why October 27 matters
Rokid arrives as the CATEGORY LEADER in China’s display glasses. As we reported, Counterpoint Research put Rokid at No. 1 in display-enabled AR and AI glasses with 41% of FIRST-half 2026 shipments. The pressure is RISING, though. Alibaba’s Qwen glasses, which OFweek calls a SERIOUS threat to Rokid’s second generation, go on sale October 13. OFweek also lists SEVERAL other Chinese makers working on full-color display glasses, and expects RayNeo to refresh its X series this year.
The Western BENCHMARK is Meta Ray-Ban Display at $799, which OFweek puts at about 70 grams. If Rokid shows a full-color waveguide pair on October 27, the questions that MATTER are WEIGHT, BATTERY life, BRIGHTNESS, and a REAL ship date. OFweek itself notes that full-color MicroLED STILL suffers from HIGH power draw and LOW resolution.
The takeaway: October 27 is CONFIRMED, and so is the second-generation Rokid Glasses. Full color is a well-sourced EXPECTATION backed by a POINTED poster, and the optics SUPPLIERS, COST, and PRICE are still REPORTED estimates. We will UPDATE when Rokid publishes specs and pricing.
