Ace Attorney Dual Destinies VR: Capcom Courtroom Drama Lands on Quest and Meta VR Glasses in 2027

Capcom’s courtroom series is finally STEPPING into a headset. At Meta Connect 2026, Amata K.K. revealed Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies VR — the FIRST Ace Attorney title built for virtual reality — targeting Meta Quest and the newly announced Meta VR Glasses in 2027.

UploadVR’s James Tocchio flagged the announcement beside Meta’s glasses keynote: players EXAMINE crime scenes in first person, BUILD a case, then take it to COURT. Hand tracking lets you PRESENT evidence and POINT at witnesses. Voice activation lets you shout the series’ infamous “OBJECTION!!” out loud — optional, not required.

That controller choice MATTERS. Meta spent Connect selling hands-first games for glasses that ship without Touch controllers in the box. Amata kept BOTH paths: the game is “fully playable with controllers,” with voice and gesture as the louder ALTERNATIVE. Mixed-News notes a multi-case courtroom story is a long time to hold your arms up — so the studio left the CHOICE with the player.

From a 3DS classic to first-person investigation

The source game is Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, the FIFTH mainline entry that launched on Nintendo 3DS in 2013 and later returned in the Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy (2024). Amata’s press release says you play as Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice, and Athena Cykes as they push against the “Dark Age of the Law,” where WINNING trumps the TRUTH.

Investigation moves into first person. Crime scenes are explored from every ANGLE; evidence is picked up and examined by HAND rather than tapped on a flat screen. The job stays classic Ace Attorney: spot the CONTRADICTION, then PROVE it. Gematsu confirms language support for English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and both Chinese scripts.

Headset reach: Glasses, Quest 3 — and Quest 2

Amata’s product page lists Meta VR Glasses, Quest 3 / 3S, Quest Pro, and Quest 2. Meta’s own Connect copy often names only Glasses plus Quest 3 / 3S, so Mixed-News correctly treats Quest 2 as the DEVELOPER’s stated INTENTION more than a year out — not a settled retail SPEC. Reaching Quest 2 is UNUSUAL among this year’s Connect slate; most new glasses-era titles stop at Quest 3.

Why this announcement matters for the glasses catalog

Connect week filled the feed with hardware hands-ons. Dual Destinies VR is quieter and more CONSEQUENTIAL for the software STACK: a licensed Capcom FRANCHISE that leans on VOICE and HANDS without abandoning controllers — a practical FIT for Meta VR Glasses’ input model and for Quest owners who still want a stick. For readers tracking the glasses launch CATALOG, this is one of the few titles with a named DEVELOPER, a teaser SITE, and a public TRAILER already live.

Nothing here invents a month or a price. What is CONCRETE is the format BET: Capcom’s courtroom drama, rebuilt for VR by Amata, with OBJECTION you can SHOUT and evidence you can HOLD, on Quest and Meta VR Glasses in 2027.
