Meta’s Connect announcement names ONE film with BOTH a MONTH and a DEVICE: Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour, the concert film co-directed by Billie Eilish and James Cameron, will be EXCLUSIVELY available to BUY and RENT in 3D on Meta Quest this NOVEMBER.

That LINE matters because the rest of Meta’s cinema slate is either undated, device-vague, or LOCKED to SPRING 2027 hardware. Mixed-News notes Disney+ Marvel 3D titles also point at November — and Meta never names a headset for them. The Billie film is the CLEAR exception.
What Meta Actually Promised
Meta’s wording is TIGHT: the film is “exclusively available to buy and rent in 3D on Quest this November.” It does not say free with a subscription. It does not put the title on Meta VR Glasses for that WINDOW. Those glasses still go on SALE in SPRING 2027 for $1,299.99.

The THEATRICAL cut already PLAYED. Paramount released the film in May 2026 after a Fox Westwood premiere; Wikipedia’s production summary puts the Paramount+ stream on August 6. NOVEMBER is not a first public screening. It is a QUEST-NATIVE 3D RENT-or-BUY window Meta is using to PROVE cinema still has a home on CURRENT headsets.
How It Fits the Broader Store Push
Mixed-News’ store readout separates TWO tracks. Later this YEAR, Meta says Quest owners in the US can RENT or BUY hundreds of 2D and 3D films — no store name, no day-level date. IMAX Enhanced, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos sit on Meta VR Glasses in 2027. The Billie title is the ONLY named film that BRIDGES those tracks with a Quest month.

Cameron’s Lightstorm Vision partnership with Meta, first framed in December 2024 for exclusive 3D content on Quest, is the INDUSTRIAL BACKDROP. Meta also teases “first time in 3D” blockbusters with Cameron for 2027. Hit Me Hard and Soft is the NEAR-TERM proof point Quest owners can ACT on before those glasses exist.
What Is Still Missing
Meta has NOT published a day inside November, a PRICE for the rent or buy SKUs, or a list of Quest models that QUALIFY. Open Season, Meta Presents’ first ORIGINAL series, still lands September 29 on the TV app — a DIFFERENT product with a HARDER date. Until a store page goes LIVE, treat NOVEMBER as Meta’s calendar claim, not a ship confirmation.
