Disembodied Locks Quest Early Access October 15 With 175 Levels

Middle Man Games has LOCKED an Early Access WINDOW for Disembodied, a mixed-reality HAND-TRACKING platformer that copies your real hands onto a floating pair inside the room. A Games Press release dated October 2, 2026 says the game LAUNCHES on OCTOBER 15 for Meta Quest 2, Quest Pro, Quest 3, and Quest 3S, with a full single-player CAMPAIGN of 175 LEVELS and an experimental level EDITOR on day one.

The pitch is deliberately weird. You CONTROL a pair of disembodied HANDS that mirror your real hand movements 1:1 — no controllers — and you MANEUVER those hands through short physics-driven courses. Walk on your fingers like Thing from The Addams Family, paddle to RUN, pick up objects, throw BOMBS, punch through brick WALLS, or shoot a finger GUN. Gesture-activated POWER-UPS sit beside climbing courses, precision laser CHALLENGES, chilled puzzle rooms, and faster chaos sections.

Early Access scope and solo development

Solo developer Kevin S. Walker built Disembodied over roughly two and a half years under Middle Man Games. The studio calls this its fourth RELEASE and its third VR title. During Early Access, Walker says the aim is to REFINE the experience and add more CONTENT from player FEEDBACK, with additional MODES already planned. UploadVR first dated the Quest launch for October 15 back in June 2026; the October 2 press note is the firmer public LOCK on Early Access SCOPE and the 175-level campaign.

Where it fits the October Quest calendar

October 15 also hosts Spymaster 1.0, Traffix XR, and Bad Inmate on UploadVR’s monthly release list, so Disembodied arrives in a crowded mid-month window rather than as a lone DROP. The useful distinction for Quest owners is INPUT: this is a pure HAND-TRACKING mixed-reality PLATFORMER, not another controller-first SHOOTER. A wishlist link is live on the Meta Quest STORE, and review ACCESS is offered through the studio’s press contact ahead of the Early Access OPEN.
