Dragon Grove, a cozy FREE-TO-PLAY mixed reality puzzle game from Schell Games, was announced at Meta Connect for Meta VR Glasses, Quest 3, and Quest 3S. Per UploadVR’s Mike Johnson (Sep 23) and a Schell Games press release, the title targets SPRING 2027 alongside Meta’s glasses-form headset.
Players step in as GROVEKEEPERS chosen by dragons, matching plant elements — leaves, buds, and flowers — inside a puzzle-box structure that sits in the REAL WORLD through passthrough. Completing groves awakens dragon memories and unlocks ABILITIES that help later levels. The studio says HAND-TRACKING is the primary interface: pet, wave, and cradle dragon companions without controllers.
Schell Games Goes Soft and Spatial
Schell Games is best known in VR for escape-room tension — I Expect You To Die — and for Among Us 3D. Dragon Grove flips that energy toward a RELAXED daily ritual. Project director Michał Książkiewicz calls out tactile hand-tracking, 3D puzzle strategy, and dragons with distinct personalities. CEO Jesse Schell credits Meta as a partner that let the team PUSH MIXED REALITY and spatial gaming for home play.
200+ Levels, Free Entry, Paid Cosmetics
At launch Schell Games plans MORE THAN 200 LEVELS that scale in difficulty with new plant types and mechanics. Sessions can be BITE-SIZED or deep. UploadVR notes the FREE-TO-PLAY model includes DAILY STREAK rewards plus in-app purchases for hats, accessories, and POWER-UPS. The press kit also lists cosmetic hats and tail charms for earned or purchased coins. The game is EXCLUSIVE to Meta VR Glasses and Quest 3/3S — no other headset platforms were named.
