Fovii Brings Curated Immersive Video to Vision Pro. $9.99/mo.

Fovii is live on Apple Vision Pro: a curated Immersive Video streamer from NextVR and Apple Immersive alum John Racine, built with Chaarana Labs. Subscriptions start at $9.99 a month; studios can submit films.

UploadVR’s Laura Mingail reports that Fovii is now available on Apple Vision Pro. Founder John Racine was NextVR’s VR Systems Specialist before Apple acquired the company in 2020, then worked on Apple Immersive Video — the stereoscopic 180° format that now sits at the center of the catalog. Development partner Krishna Jagadish of Chaarana Labs co-built the platform.

What ships at launch

Fovii’s pitch is a curated home for live-action Immersive Video plus the people who made it. Film detail pages surface studio and team credits, behind-the-scenes clips, and spatial photos — the kind of maker context Amplium and Apple’s own Immersive shelves rarely prioritize. UploadVR notes rotating home features, recently added shelves, and most-watched lists, which is the discovery surface Vision Pro owners still lack outside Apple TV’s Immersive lane.

At launch, UploadVR flags a couple of new exclusives from Rogue Labs, where Racine is Creative & Technical Director, alongside titles that already live elsewhere — including The Longest Day, also available on Amplium and Theater. The company says it is targeting roughly two new Immersive videos a month and is actively soliciting studio submissions through fovii.com.

Pricing and the creator lane

The app is free to download. Subscriptions are listed at $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year, with individual film rentals also available. UploadVR’s take is blunt: measured against mainstream streamers, the catalog’s length and depth make that price feel steep today — and Fovii has not published creator-revenue details. If the fee funds more Immersive commissions and the library grows on schedule, the math can change. Until then, treat the annual plan as a bet on the format, not a Netflix clone.

For filmmakers, the site markets creator-first review (within 14 days), technical guidance around camera and spatial audio, packaging help for Vision Pro delivery, and an analytics dashboard for views and watch time. That pipeline matters more than another storefront icon: Immersive Video still needs a reliable path from Blackmagic-class capture to a headset audience that will pay.

Why it matters

Vision Pro’s Immersive Video story has been strong on Apple-led premieres and thin on third-party shelves with editorial taste. Fovii is an explicit attempt to fix distribution for the people shooting stereoscopic 180°, not another sports or concert aggregator. Whether $9.99 sticks depends on how fast those two monthly titles land and whether exclusives stay exclusive. For now, the app is live, submissions are open, and the founder’s NextVR-to-Apple résumé is the clearest signal that the format’s practitioners are building their own front door.
