The Lightkeepers lands on Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S on September 10, 2026 for $19.99. Spectral Games (Medieval Dynasty: New Settlement) and publisher Squido Studio locked the date and price at the summer VR Games Showcase. The clock is eight days out.

Per UploadVR, Games Press, and Spectral’s August price reveal covered by TechTimes, the loop is day and night: sail to mist-shrouded islands for weapons, gear, and puzzles while the sun is up, then fortify a 1920s lighthouse and hold it against eldritch creatures until dawn. The studio frames solo play as certain doom. Co-op division of labor—exploration, fortification, combat—is the intended design.
Handcrafted islands, shuffled each run
Spectral says the islands are not procedurally generated. Every dungeon, ruin, loot cache, and puzzle is artist-built; what changes between sessions is which islands the run draws. Meta-progression unlocks weapons and cosmetics between contracts. Crafting covers grenades, mines, and healing items. The arsenal is pitched at more than twenty period-leaning weapons. A limited $29.99 Release Bundle adds an Epic Cultist Set with the base game.
Hardware is a hard gate. The title is Quest 3 and Quest 3S only—Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2—not Quest 2. Spectral’s bet is that Gen 2 headroom is what makes detailed, handcrafted horror atmospheres viable on standalone without a tethered PC.

Why September 10 matters on this calendar
September’s Quest slate is already loud: Knights of Fiona and Transformers: Beyond Reality Redux on the 3rd, Detective VR expanding to PS VR2 and Steam on the 9th, Gunman Contracts Stand Alone on Steam the same day Lightkeepers ships, Sol Protocol Early Access on the 17th, Into the Radius 2 on PS VR2 on the 24th. Lightkeepers is the co-op horror slot in that stack—extraction by day, tower defense by night, Lovecraft tone instead of jump-scare volume.
Wishlist is live on the Meta Quest Store. Spectral has been showing the game across multiple VR showcases for months; the remaining open question is execution on September 10, not the pitch.
