Meta4 Interactive locked the Meta Quest date today. Transformers: Beyond Reality Redux ships September 10, 2026 on Quest 2, Quest 3, and Quest 3S — not the September 3 window that rode the summer VR Games Showcase.
The September 4 press release on Games Press (and mirrored across trade wires) is the first studio-dated Quest launch from Meta4 and Illogika under Hasbro’s license. UploadVR’s September calendar already flipped the title from the 3rd to the 10th in its September 3 update note. That matches the new clock and puts Redux on the same day as The Lightkeepers and Bomb The Hill on Quest, plus Gunman Contracts Stand Alone on Steam.
What Redux actually adds
This is still an arcade on-rails shooter: you are a human recruit in an exo-suit, fighting beside Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Grimlock across Earth and Cybertron. The Redux delta, per Meta4’s September 4 list, is concrete:
- New enemies and a new player attack
- Rebalanced combat with more varied encounters and a dynamic difficulty curve
- A redesigned progression system aimed at skillful play and replay
- A streamlined upgrade system with a clearer gameplay impact
- Mastery challenges that unlock Hard and Brutal modes
That is a sharper brief than the June showcase’s “new features” placeholder. The PlayStation versions already listed around $24.99; Quest pricing still belongs to the Meta Horizon Store listing when the buy button flips.
Why the slip matters
September 3 was already crowded — Knights of Fiona shipped free-to-start that day. Sliding Redux to the 10th clears that pile-up and parks the licensed rail shooter next to two other Quest launches. For owners who only played the PSVR or PS VR2 cuts, the useful question is no longer “is Quest getting Transformers?” It is whether the Redux combat and upgrade retune land as a real rebuild or a port with a new difficulty slider.
