InnerspaceVR’s Spymaster is OUT of Early Access. The Paris studio behind A Fisherman’s Tale and Maskmaker SHIPPED version 1.0 on October 15, 2026 for META QUEST and STEAMVR, and the LAUNCH package is BIGGER than the one it promised. In September the studio PLEDGED THREE new missions; the 1.0 release counts FOUR. The Steam price MOVED too, from $11.99 in Early Access to $19.99.

What 1.0 Actually Adds
According to MIXED, InnerspaceVR’s launch post describes FOUR brand-new missions, “including a climactic final mission bringing Spymaster’s three operatives together,” along with a COMPLETE story mode, extra POLISH, and language support for ITALIAN and JAPANESE. The studio’s September 21 post had said players would “get to experience three brand-new missions.” InnerspaceVR has NOT explained the change or named the EXTRA mission.
The studio’s own X FEED fills in some of the new content. An October 2 post introduced Frozen Ascent, which brings TWO-PART missions to the game: a PROLOGUE climbing an ICE CLIFF, then an INFILTRATION of a SECRET laboratory. An October 9 post teased the finale as a race to ABORT a rocket launch with all THREE agents in play.
Spymaster 1.0 is out now! 💥😎💥

We pushed hard to complete the game with incredible new missions, story mode and lots of tweaks here and there.
Was a tough one to get through (games were you can manipulate time …🤪), but really proud how it ended up.
The Design: One Player, Three Spies
Spymaster is SINGLE-PLAYER, but you RUN three agents (TIC, Mulligan, and the robot 0SCR), each with DISTINCT skills and weapons. A wrist device called the C.A.S.S.E.T.T.E. lets you RECORD one agent’s actions, REWIND, and then SYNCHRONIZE the next agent’s moves against them. The Steam page pits NODE against the technology company Protocore and its CEO, PROTUS, across missions that range from DEFUSING bombs to poisoning villains, with parkour, climbing, ziplines, and gunplay in between.
UploadVR’s Mike Johnson, who played the Early Access build, called the rewind loop “a novel concept that encourages replayability to perfect a run without any anxiety-inducing tension.” He has NOT yet finished the full campaign and says a FINAL review will follow.

Price, Platforms, and Early Buyers
Steam now lists Spymaster at $19.99 in the US. When Metaverse Watcher covered the release date in September, both Steam and the Quest listing showed $11.99, and the Steam page had warned the price would RISE at full release. Neither InnerspaceVR’s launch post nor the coverage so far gives a 1.0 figure for the META QUEST STORE, so treat the Quest price as UNCONFIRMED until you check the listing. EARLY ACCESS buyers do NOT pay the difference; Valve’s Early Access FAQ says you KEEP access to a game “even if the game later moves from Early Access into fully released.”
On PC, Steam lists the game as VR ONLY, with hardware SUPPORT covering Quest headsets, Rift and Rift S, Pico 4, and Valve Index, and STEAM FRAME marked as streaming, per MIXED. The store now shows seven languages, with ENGLISH the only one that has full audio, plus 13 ACHIEVEMENTS. At the time of writing, Steam’s review counter showed 14 user reviews, ALL positive, which is still a SMALL sample.
Why It Matters
FIVE MONTHS in Early Access, three patches by MIXED’s count, and a launch that BEAT its own mission promise is a CLEAN path for a MID-SIZE VR studio in a year that has seen CUTS and SHUTDOWNS across the category. The REAL tests come next: whether the $19.99 price HOLDS up against the FULL campaign once reviews land, and how the game SELLS on Quest, where most of its audience is likely to be. We will UPDATE when UploadVR’s final verdict and the Quest pricing are public.
