ZipRush: Surf the Void Hits Quest Early Access Window at $9.99

Narriflux put a calendar day on its VR extreme sport: ZipRush: Surf the Void was set for Meta Quest Early Access on September 3, 2026 at $9.99, with Steam Early Access already live since June 29. The Taipei studio, led by VR artist Hsin-Chien Huang, is selling wall rides, ceiling lines, and player-built tracks — not another on-rails racer.

The pitch is route invention. Official courses teach the basics; the Track Builder is meant to keep the sport alive after the tutorial ends. Multiplayer, leaderboards, and ghost racing round out the competitive loop for up to four players.

Movement as the product

Per the studio’s Games Press release, speed comes from hand position: hands away from the chest accelerate, hands closer brake. Mid-air recovery uses Thrust for a short directional impulse and Gravity Arc, a fixed-length tether that can pull you onto a surface, redirect momentum, or invent a shortcut. Falling off the line is part of the run, not an instant fail state.

Founder Hsin-Chien Huang framed the design against traditional racing: “Most racing games ask players to master the fastest route. ZipRush asks them to discover it.” Huang’s prior VR work includes Venice Film Festival Best VR Experience and Cannes XR Best Story honors — useful context for a studio selling physics-driven movement over licensed IP spectacle.

Where to play it

Steam Early Access is live now for PC VR (SteamVR / OpenXR paths listed on the store page, including Quest streaming). The August 24 announcement priced Quest Early Access at $9.99 for the September 3 window. Confirm the live Meta Horizon Store listing before you buy on headset — storefront pages move, and Early Access builds change.
