Mighty Coconut has SHIPPED Escape From Planet Xylodon, the 42nd course for Walkabout Mini Golf, and the same update adds something players have wanted for years: MULLIGANS. The paid course costs $4.99 and is LIVE now, according to UploadVR.
What Xylodon Adds
Xylodon is the FIFTH of SIX new courses Mighty Coconut has planned for 2026. It follows the usual structure: 18 collectible balls on the Easy layout and a Foxhunt for a themed putter on the Hard layout. It also brings TWO new avatar heads and FIVE sci-fi customizations for the base avatar head. We previewed the course and its EXPERIMENTAL hand tracking ahead of launch; today’s news is that it is available to BUY.
Mulligans Fix a Real Problem
A mulligan is a penalty-free do-over. In Walkabout, the common failure is lining up a putt and ACCIDENTALLY tapping the ball, which costs a stroke. UploadVR’s writer says it happened to them even with grip-to-putt enabled.
Session hosts can now SET how many mulligans each player gets, either before the round or mid-round through a modifier on the scorecard. Players trigger one from a new BUTTON on their wristwatch. Because the host controls the count, competitive groups can keep it at ZERO.
Hand Tracking Is Still a Test
On Quest, hand tracking is an OPT-IN option in the settings, with a tutorial included. Mighty Coconut calls it a TEST feature, and it requires hand tracking to be enabled on the headset. It joins a growing list of Quest titles adding controller-free play, including Synth Riders and Real VR Fishing, ahead of Meta’s VR Glasses.
Where to Play
Walkabout Mini Golf is on Steam, PSVR2, Quest, Pico, and Samsung Galaxy XR, and it is INCLUDED in Meta’s Horizon+ subscription. The Xylodon DLC is a SEPARATE $4.99 purchase.
