VR Expert and Treeview have opened a joint path for enterprises that want to evaluate XREAL AURA before the Android XR glasses reach general availability. Auganix dated the partnership September 2; Next Reality revisited the same services stack on September 11 as Aura’s fall launch window gets closer.

The pitch is not a new headset. It is the missing middle of most enterprise XR deals: hardware sourcing, configuration, and support on one side, custom Android XR / Unity software on the other. VR Expert covers demonstrations, procurement, logistics, and lifecycle support. Treeview builds the application and integrations. Together they sell a route from a workshop to a repeatable rollout across teams or sites.
What the program actually covers
According to the companies’ joint description, a typical engagement can include:
- Use-case discovery and feasibility workshops tied to a defined business process
- AURA demonstrations and hardware evaluation through VR Expert
- Rapid prototypes to test interaction design and user acceptance
- Custom Android XR and Unity development, including cloud and enterprise-system integrations
- Procurement, configuration, logistics, rollout planning, and ongoing support
None of that is tied to a named customer, published pilot date, or public price list. Next Reality is explicit on the distinction: this is a services roadmap for evaluation and deployment, not evidence that Aura already has production fleets in the field.

Why Aura fits the enterprise frame
AURA is XREAL’s optical see-through Android XR system: glasses with an on-face X1S spatial coprocessor, a tethered Snapdragon Reality Elite puck, a 70° see-through display, and Gemini as the platform assistant. XREAL’s product page still frames a fall 2026 global launch and a base model of no more than $1,500 before tax. Wave-one markets previously named include the U.S., U.K., Japan, Canada, and South Korea, with additional European markets to follow.
The architecture matters for workplace buyers. Offloading heat and mass to the puck is the comfort argument for longer sessions. The trade is the cable and the usual enterprise questions that demos never answer: MDM, camera policy, data residency, regional support, and how you provision a hundred units instead of three.
Treeview’s founder, Horacio Torrendell, was part of the Network XR team that won Google’s first Android XR hackathon for AURA in June 2026 — a conference networking app using real-time face recognition and follow-up summaries. That is a useful proof of early platform fluency. It is not a production deployment case study.
Developers can start without hardware
Google’s Android XR stack now lets teams prototype without a physical unit. On August 18, Google’s Android Developers team moved Jetpack SceneCore, ARCore for Jetpack XR, and XR Runtime to beta. Emulators and Unity / OpenXR paths remain available. Early software names already associated with AURA include ShapesXR for spatial prototyping and Frontline.io for CAD twins and work instructions — again, platform signals, not named customer rollouts.
XREAL’s Android XR Developer Catalyst Program applications closed June 30, 2026. Selected developers are being contacted for free device orders after paperwork. Consumer reservations on XREAL’s site have moved past the sold-out Founder Priority Pass; a refundable $199 Priority Deposit remains the current public option.
What is confirmed — and what is not
Confirmed: VR Expert + Treeview partnership for AURA evaluation, prototyping, custom development, and hardware lifecycle services; AURA as a fall 2026 Android XR product with a sub-$1,500 ceiling; Treeview’s hackathon win on the platform.
Not confirmed: Named enterprise evaluation customers, workshop or support pricing, MDM / compliance terms, or any production fleet size.
For Metaverse Watcher readers, the useful frame is operational. Consumer Aura coverage has been about comfort, Gemini, and the puck. This announcement is about whether Android XR can become something an IT buyer can actually buy twice. The partnership fills the services gap on paper. Named customers and support contracts will decide whether it sticks after launch.
