High On Life VR Locks 2027 on Quest, PS VR2, and Steam

High On Life VR is coming to Meta Quest, PlayStation VR2, and SteamVR in 2027. Flat2VR Studios is building it with Squanch Games. The wishlist is live on all three stores. No day inside 2027 is public yet.

The announcement landed in the August 13, 2026 VR Games Showcase trailer, covered by UploadVR and Road to VR. It is a separate VR product from the 2022 flatscreen original, not a simple mode toggle. Flat2VR says the build already runs natively on Quest.

What changes in VR

High On Life’s joke is that your guns talk. In VR that gun sits in your hand at eye level, so the Gatlian banter becomes a physical presence instead of a HUD gag. UploadVR notes the trailer shows rebuilt shop flows, city character beats, and physical reloads for those living weapons. Road to VR adds that traversal and NPC interactions are being rewritten as VR-native systems rather than flatscreen mappings.

Why Flat2VR, why now

Flat2VR closed the same showcase with System Shock VR. High On Life is the comedy twin: Squanch Games’ 2022 shooter holds a Very Positive Steam rating on more than 14,000 reviews for the flatscreen edition, per UploadVR. The VR edition lists Flat2VR Studios and Squanch Games as developers on Steam. The Steam publisher field currently reads “Impat Inked” (Impact Inked elsewhere in the Flat2VR slate).

Platforms and what is still open

Confirmed targets: Meta Quest (including Quest 3 / 3S in Meta’s framing), PlayStation VR2, and SteamVR. Steam marks the app as VR Only, Coming Soon, with no price and a “To be announced” date. Wishlist links are up on the Horizon Store, PlayStation Store, and Steam. Exact 2027 window, SKU pricing, and day-one feature parity across headsets are still unannounced.

If you want the talking-gun FPS in a headset, wishlist High On Life VR now and treat 2027 as the calendar, not a quarter.
