Triangle Factory just pushed Forefront update v6.0 LIVE. The studio’s own Steam community note — Fighter Jets & Karst Update – v6.0 — says the FREE patch ADDS an experimental FIGHTER JET, a new Conquest map called KARST, GUN MASTERY unlocks, a Paradise Jets map variant, and STEAM FRAME support. UploadVR confirmed the build is AVAILABLE NOW on Meta Quest, SteamVR, and Pico.
For a while the Belgian studio RULED OUT jets. Players kept pushing the idea, and Triangle Factory REVISITED it as an experimental vehicle. Per the changelog, you can SPAWN the jet from the spawn menu, enter dogfights with LOCK-ON missiles, use VTOL, and pick arcade or physical controls. Jets are LIMITED to Karst and a Paradise map variant for now, and they also appear in Training Grounds. The studio says future patches will TUNE the jet from player feedback.
KARST drops players into Vietnam. Fly between limestone cliffs and sail waters around a fishing village that can only be REACHED by boat or aircraft. In lore, O.R.E. (Orpiment Renewable Energy) INVADES after locals trade large amounts of Red Orpiment; Coalition Forces DEPLOY to neutralize the operation. That story frame matches UploadVR’s write-up of the map’s Vietnamese fishing-village setting.
GUN MASTERY lets players LEVEL weapons with headshots for FIVE tiers of weapon patterns, player titles per weapon type, plus a kill card and title for MAXING every weapon. The featured changelog block for v6.0.180 also lists Steam Frame support, Omni-One support, a smaller install on Steam and Quest, and a reworked end-of-match progression screen. Steam’s store page still lists the 32-player large-scale VR shooter at $27.99 after its April 23, 2026 full RELEASE.
Forefront remains a cross-platform PvP title on Meta Quest, Steam (app 2981220), and Pico. The v6.0 DROP is a FREE content UPDATE for existing owners — no new SKU, no paid DLC gate on the jet or Karst. If you already own the game, the skies OPENED today.
