Lucyd Maker Posts a Record $1.04 Million Quarter, and Its 3,000-Unit Australia Order Isn’t Counted Yet

Innovative Eyewear, the Miami company behind Lucyd audio glasses, says its THIRD quarter was the BEST in its history. The number behind that claim is about $1.04 MILLION in net sales. It is PRELIMINARY, it is UNAUDITED, and it does NOT yet INCLUDE the company’s BIGGEST single order of the year.

What the company reported

In an October 6 press release, the Nasdaq-listed company (ticker LUCY) put Q3 2026 NET SALES at roughly $1.04 million, UP about 55% from Q3 2025. It called this its THIRTEENTH consecutive quarter of year-over-year growth, and noted that Q3 2025 itself had grown 163%.

Nine-month net sales came to about $2.8 million, up roughly 66%. That ALREADY beats the $2.66 million the company booked for ALL of 2025, and management points out that the fourth quarter has historically been its STRONGEST.

Some SIMPLE arithmetic puts those percentages in context. A 55% gain to $1.04 million IMPLIES a Q3 2025 base of roughly $670,000. Working backward from the 66% nine-month growth figure and the full-year total implies Q4 2025 landed somewhere near $970,000. So the RECORD quarter beats last year’s holiday quarter by a MODEST margin, not a DRAMATIC one. Those are our ESTIMATES from the company’s rounded figures, not numbers it published.

Where the growth came from

The company credits about 25% growth in direct-to-consumer and online marketplace sales, plus the FIRST shipments under NEW wholesale deals. CEO Harrison Gross also said the quarter included “intentionally running PROMOTIONAL pricing on older models” while holding back ADVERTISING spend. PART of the record, in other words, came from DISCOUNTING existing stock ahead of a NEW product.

Three channels are doing the HEAVY lifting going forward:

  • United States: an initial order from what the company calls one of the LARGEST U.S. big-box retailers, for Lucyd Armor SAFETY eyewear in more than 150 stores starting in October. The retailer is NOT named.
  • Canada: placement across about 345 FYihealth Group optical clinics (FYidoctors, Visique and Solis), with DEMO units shipped in July and RESTOCKS now going out.
  • Australia and New Zealand: INITIAL purchase orders for MORE than 3,000 units from exclusive distributor Directed Electronics. Those SHIP in October and are EXCLUDED from Q3 sales.

Why it matters for smart glasses

Lucyd sells Bluetooth AUDIO glasses with ChatGPT VOICE access, offered in HUNDREDS of frame and lens combinations under its own brand plus Reebok, Nautica and Eddie Bauer licenses. There is NO camera and NO display. That puts it in the SAME lane as the camera-free Ray-Ban Meta Audio, which Meta introduced at Connect 2026 starting at $349.

The company’s strategy is DISTRIBUTION rather than HEADLINE hardware: optical clinics, safety eyewear aisles and regional distributors, the shelves where a $1 million quarter can still count as PROGRESS. It has also positioned itself as a U.S. CHANNEL for other makers, as we covered when HTC’s VIVE Eagle found a U.S. path through Lucyd.

The caveats in the fine print

The release says its INDEPENDENT auditor has performed NO procedures on these figures, and that actual results “may differ MATERIALLY.” Full Q3 results are due in MID-NOVEMBER with the company’s 10-Q filing. The forward-looking statements also list the company’s ability “to continue as a GOING CONCERN” and to keep its Nasdaq LISTING as risk factors, which is a REMINDER of how SMALL this business still is.

The NEXT test is Q4. Lucyd Aero, which the company calls its LIGHTEST smart eyewear yet, is SLATED for a holiday 2026 launch, but the release gives no PRICE and no SHIP DATE. Between the 3,000-unit Australian order, the big-box rollout and Aero, the company has set itself up for a STRONG holiday quarter. The November filing will show whether the sales ACTUALLY followed.
