BrushHammer Miniature Painter is live on the Meta Quest Store for $19.99. Montréal studio Soliton Interactive calls it the first game it has ever published — a mixed-reality miniature-painting sandbox that ships without a PC tether, without an always-on network requirement, and with the undo button hobbyists never get at a real painting desk.

The public ship date is August 26, 2026, confirmed in Soliton’s own launch post and mirrored on Quest Store DB. UploadVR had flagged the date earlier from the August VR Games Showcase trailer. The Meta listing covers Quest 2, Quest Pro, Quest 3, and Quest 3S. Quest Store DB lists the build as version 1.1.0, about 2.0 GB, comfort rated Moderate, age rating Everyone 10+, English and French, single-player, and internet not required.
What you actually paint with
Soliton’s store and site copy are specific about the toolset: spray cans, airbrushes, shade washes, edge highlights, dry brushing, decals, and high-gloss finishes. Miniatures come from original collections built by the studio’s artists, with interchangeable poses, accessories, and basing options. Models can be kitbashed. Mistakes undo. The pitch is not “paint in VR for fun” so much as “rehearse a scheme before you waste real primer.”

Career Mode shows up on the official site as commissions, judges, and a hobby shop for tools and setup upgrades. UploadVR’s August 16 preview noted that Soliton had planned Career Mode without confirming it would ship on day one; treat progression features as present in marketing copy and verify in the live Quest build rather than assuming parity with every trailer beat.
Why a first game matters here
Soliton’s August 26 post frames BrushHammer as a studio milestone and thanks the Canada Media Fund for support that made the project possible. That is a different funding path than Meta App Lab lottery stories or big-publisher ports. The product also sits outside the September shooter calendar: no extraction loop, no co-op bridge crew, just a mixed-reality desk for people who already own physical minis — or who want the hobby without the mess.
