Echoes of Mora VR now has a ship date. Selkies Interactive’s debut locks September 21, 2026 on Steam for the dedicated VR SKU, with natural arm-based swimming through a flooded village and optional flatscreen switching in the same session. The Steam page for app 4847850 lists the day; the studio site frames the project as a hybrid narrative adventure playable in VR or on PC.

You swim with your own arms through rooftops and windows of a village frozen underwater, hunt fragments that unlock “Echoes” (portals to the days before the flood), and meet Mora, who is searching for her missing brother. The store copy stresses comfort: relaxed pace, optional joystick locomotion, and no timer pressure. A demo is live on Steam ahead of launch.
Two store pages, one story
Selkies split the release into two Steam products so the pitch stays honest. Echoes of Mora VR is the headset build with an optional PC mode you can flip mid-session. Echoes of Mora is the flatscreen SKU. That split matters for wishlisters and for Steam’s VR tags; it also mirrors how the Berlin studio talks about the game on selkiesinteractive.com: built properly for both, not a flatscreen title with VR bolted on.
From April slip to a September lock
The title was headed for a late-April 2026 launch before Selkies pushed it to Q3 while talking to publishers, as UploadVR reported in April. The studio’s Steam community notes say the extra months went into a full village of houses to explore and a clearer dual-product store setup. September 21 is the concrete date that replaced the soft Q3 window for the VR page.
UploadVR’s earlier hands-on called the demo approachable, with lore as the reward rather than hardcore puzzle difficulty. That still tracks with the comfort-first store language. Wishlist and demo: Steam. Studio and press contact live on the Selkies site.
