ENVER and Trass Games Launch FISHY, a Free Social VR Fishing Game, on Quest October 15

ENVER, the studio behind Scary Baboon and MotoX, has teamed up with Trass Games, the team behind Yeeps, to launch FISHY, a FREE-to-play social fishing game for Meta Quest. According to the studios’ press release on Games Press, FISHY launches GLOBALLY on OCTOBER 15.

What the studios are promising

The pitch is SIMPLE: take the familiar loop of casting, collecting and upgrading, then build a MULTIPLAYER world around it. The release says players can fish, explore and progress TOGETHER, and take on co-op BOSS encounters as a group. ENVER frames fishing as a PROVEN mechanic and says it is pairing it with PHYSICAL play and SHARED progression.

  • Price: free-to-play on Meta Quest.
  • Launch: October 15, 2026, worldwide.
  • Developers: ENVER with Trass Games.
  • Features named: fishing, collecting, progression, multiplayer exploration, challenges and co-op boss fights.

What is still missing

The release does NOT list a monetization model, supported Quest models, or any PC VR plans. With a free game, how it makes MONEY matters, so players should watch for store details on in-app purchases before launch day.

Why it matters

October 15 is getting CROWDED on Quest. Heroes Together VR also enters free Early Access that SAME day, and Real VR Fishing ships its Halloween update on October 13. FISHY is a direct test of whether the free social formula that made studios like Trass successful can carry a GENRE that paid games such as Real VR Fishing already own. A launch from two teams with LARGE youth-skewing audiences gives it a REAL shot at reach, but retention will decide the outcome.

The studios point players to fishyvr.com for the trailer and community links.
