Samsung Electronics confirmed today that its glasses-free 3D SPATIAL SIGNAGE is live inside Everland’s fall horror zone, BLOOD CITY ZERO. The installation went in on SEPTEMBER 18 and was announced September 20 — a public DEMO of commercial SPATIAL COMPUTING that does not ask visitors to wear a HEADSET or pick up 3D glasses.

According to Korean reports citing Samsung C&T’s Resort Division, the park deployed FIVE Samsung displays in the media horror EXPERIENCE. The centerpiece is an 85-INCH Spatial Signage unit that uses Samsung’s patented 3D PLATE technology to push DEPTH behind the LCD panel while keeping 2D sharpness. Content looks like it lives in a second SPACE inside the screen — no special eyewear required.
Touch Triggers the Zombie Idol Leap
On that central panel, ATEEZ’s San — Blood City’s promotional model this year — appears as a “zombie idol.” When guests TOUCH the figure on the sensor-equipped screen, the character REACHES outward in a glasses-free 3D sequence designed to feel like he is breaking through the glass. Side smart signage units add facial recognition and distance sensors; approach them and 4K zombie footage advances toward the viewer in real time.

Blood City is marking its TENTH season. This year’s “Blood City Zero” festival runs through NOVEMBER 22, with Korea’s first large-scale outdoor immersive horror performance produced alongside director Lee Seok-hoon. The Spatial Signage layer is the display half of that immersion bet — turning a queue-facing media wall into something closer to a public XR STAGE.
Why This Matters for Spatial Computing
Samsung has been pushing Spatial Signage as COMMERCIAL hardware since ISE 2026: portrait 4K UHD, Quantum Processor upscaling, and an UltraThin ~2-inch profile that mounts like ordinary signage. The Everland drop shows the PRODUCT leaving trade-show floors and landing in a high-traffic ENTERTAINMENT venue where DEPTH has to READ without training guests on a headset UI.

It is not a consumer AR glasses launch. It IS a signal that GLASSES-FREE 3D signage is moving from CES awards into parks, retail, and museums — the same venues fighting for attention that headset makers want. For Metaverse Watcher readers tracking SPATIAL COMPUTING beyond Quest and Vision Pro, Everland’s Blood City install is a concrete SEPTEMBER 2026 DATAPOINT: DEPTH as a public AMENITY, not a private wearable.
