Halliday’s camera-free meeting glasses are no longer a pre-sale PROMISE. According to the company’s own store FAQ, BATCH 1 non-prescription Halliday G2 orders placed by SEPTEMBER 15 BEGAN SHIPPING on that same day — five days before Meta Connect and deep into a fortnight already crowded with SPECS demos and Steam Frame waitlist noise.

That confirmation sits on Halliday’s homepage and product checkout, not in a PRESS release. Batch 2 — capped at 2,000 pairs — is now the live PRODUCTION run. The store page showed roughly 1,516 of 2,000 units CLAIMED when we checked on September 20. Non-prescription Batch 2 orders are listed to ship about THREE BUSINESS DAYS after purchase, in the order they were placed.
What Leaves the Box at $599
List price remains $599. A Launch SPECIAL still stacks an Extra $50 OFF via code LAUNCH50, free prescription lenses described as a $199 VALUE, and a Launch PACK that unlocks a free YEAR of the Basic membership plan when the glasses pair with the Halliday app. Priority Access codes remain valid through SEPTEMBER 30, per the product FAQ.

Hardware SHEET from the product page:
- Binocular WAVEGUIDE display with dual microLED engines, monochrome green, 600×300 per eye, up to 1,600 NITS, about 25.2° field of view
- About 49 G frame weight, IP54 rating, magnetic charging, claimed ~12 HOURS typical use on a 210 mAh cell
- Four-microphone array, open-ear speakers, Bluetooth 5.4 with LE Audio, 73 mm right-temple touch bar
- Prescription range listed as SPH −9.00 to +2.00 D (with CYL limits on the site)
- NO CAMERA — by design, for privacy, weight, and battery
Prescription (Rx) orders are the slower LANE. Halliday says those units are expected to START SHIPPING IN OCTOBER, typically 4–6 WEEKS after the order, because lenses are CUSTOM-cut. Non-prescription returns are allowed within 14 days of delivery; Rx lenses are final sale unless defective or shipped in error.
Meeting Flow, Not a Meta Clone
Software still centers on MEETING FLOW / Flow: live TRANSLATION across 45+ languages, captions, thread and commitment tracking, quick research, and automated post-meeting summaries. Daily Functions cover Cheatsheet prompts, notifications, calls, music, and a glanceable dashboard. Credits gate the heavier Flow features; every Launch Special G2 includes a free YEAR of Basic, with paid Pro and Max tiers above that.
Android Authority’s July launch write-up framed the same pitch: heads-up meeting AI without a front camera, at a price well under Snap SPECS and far below Vision Pro. The Verge’s hands-on earlier called Gen 2 a clear step up from Halliday’s CES-era single movable window, with waveguides replacing that finicky panel.
Why the Ship Date Matters This Week
Connect WEEK is thick with CAMERA-FREE rumors — Meta’s reported Luna audio glasses among them — and with workplace PRIVACY fights. Australia’s Commonwealth agencies are already weighing smart-glasses bans. Halliday’s bet is narrower: SHIP a display-first, camera-free tool for meetings NOW, while bigger platforms are still teasing October windows. Batch 1 has left the warehouse. Batch 2 is the countdown on the storefront.
