UploadVR reports that Devs United Games has shipped Real VR Fishing — US South DLC on Meta Quest and SteamVR. The expansion is priced at $9.99; the base game lists at $19.99. UploadVR dates the launch to August 25, 2026; the Steam store page shows a Steam release of August 26, 2026.

The DLC adds seven southern U.S. fishing locations spanning freshwater, brackish, and saltwater, plus new species, a Southern inshore rod-and-reel set, and the studio’s first expansion built on a new image-upscaling pipeline. Steam’s listing frames Texas and Florida as player-requested destinations pulled from player data.

Seven southern waters

Per the studio press materials cited by UploadVR, the map list is:

  • Hamilton Pool Overhang (Austin, TX)
  • Fulton Harbor (Texas Gulf Coast)
  • The Crescent City Connection (New Orleans, LA)
  • Saint Marys River at Night (GA)
  • Friendship Fountain (Jacksonville, FL)
  • Bahia Honda State Park (FL Keys)
  • Sunset in Key West (FL)

Two of those stages are night sessions — Jacksonville’s illuminated waterfront and Saint Marys River after dark — plus Key West as a sunset stage that UploadVR describes as “the southernmost sunset in the continental United States.”

Big Four inshore, 22 new species

Steam calls out the inshore “Big Four” in one expansion: bonefish, permit, tarpon, and snook. UploadVR’s species highlights also name Guadalupe bass, Atlantic sturgeon, mangrove/mutton/yellowtail snapper, gafftopsail catfish, and ladyfish. Steam’s store copy puts the total at 22 new species, alongside a new rod set built for the fight.

First DLC on the upscaling pipeline

Devs United is positioning US South as the first expansion on a new image-upscaling pipeline, with environments described in the press materials as “noticeably sharper and higher-fidelity” than prior Real VR Fishing stages. That claim is the studio’s; independent comparisons are not yet in the coverage we reviewed.
