EXOSHOCK Open Beta Is Live Today on Quest and SteamVR

EXOSHOCK‘s FREE OPEN BETA is LIVE today on QUEST 3/3S and STEAMVR, the last free playtest before Early Access later this fall.

Developer POLARITYONE and publisher VRAL Games opened the window on SEPTEMBER 17, matching the date locked on the Steam store page and previewed by UploadVR. The beta supports SOLO runs and up to FOUR-PLAYER co-op, with full CROSS-PLAY between VR headsets and flat-screen PC players.

Steam’s listing is blunt about the ask: click the DEMO button to install the Playtest App, then jump into the Staging Area for weapons, loadouts, the tutorial, and character customization while the open sessions run. UploadVR framed the same path earlier this month — download the Playtest App first so you are ready the minute the beta flips on.

The pitch is a 1–4 co-op sci-fi PvE SHOOTER built as a true hybrid for VR presence and standard FPS play. Store copy highlights adaptive AI, loadout customization, Suit Mods, and Unreal Engine 5 combat intensity across handcrafted and replayable warzones. Early Access itself is still marked Coming soon on Steam, with the studio targeting roughly 12 MONTHS in EA before a 1.0 push.

UploadVR previously called EXOSHOCK one of the more exciting VR shooters in development after a Founder’s Edition hands-on. Today’s beta is the practical next step: free access on Quest and SteamVR before the paid Early Access window. If you already grabbed the Playtest App, the OPEN BETA should be the button you press next.
