URXR One Kickstarter Closes September 18. $1.15M Raised on 93g Glasses.

Unseen Reality’s URXR One Kickstarter is in its final stretch. The campaign for the 93-gram spatial display glasses closes Friday, September 18, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. ET. As of September 12 evening, Kickstarter’s public listing shows about $1.15 million pledged against a $50,000 goal — roughly 2,300% funded — from more than 1,400 backers.

That is not a surprise spike. Road to VR clocked more than $500,000 in the first 24 hours after the August 4 open. The company asked for a deliberately low hardware goal; the market answered with a Staff Pick crowdfunding run that has held through the middle weeks.

What the glasses actually are

URXR One is a tethered spatial display, not a standalone Android XR headset and not birdbath AR. Dual 1.03-inch micro-OLED panels deliver 2448 × 2064 per eye across a claimed 90° diagonal field of view at about 36 PPD and 90 Hz. On-glasses SLAM plus a 1000 Hz IMU support 3DoF and 6DoF tracking and video see-through under 10 ms, per Unseen Reality’s specs page. There is no battery in the frame. Power and graphics come over USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode from a laptop, Mac, phone, or handheld.

Plug-and-play mode gives one spatially locked big screen on compatible hosts. The URXR Connect companion app — Windows and Mac at ship, iOS and Android later — adds multi-screen layouts, hand gestures, and a cinema environment. A separate Power Hub ($69 on the campaign) is required for phones, tablets, and Switch-class devices.

Price, ship windows, and the fine print

Early-bird tiers are gone. The campaign’s standard glasses tier sits around $799 against a stated $999 MSRP on the company site (Road to VR previously cited an $800 campaign / $900 MSRP framing while early birds were still settling). Glasses, Windows/Mac Connect, and prescription customization are targeted for mid-October 2026. The Power Hub and mobile apps follow in November/December, pending certification — Unseen Reality is explicit that phone-first buyers should plan around that lag.

SteamVR / PCVR is not supported at launch. Audio comes from the host device; the glasses carry mics, not speakers. Ship regions listed by the company include the U.S., Canada, UK, EU, Switzerland, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Australia.

Why the close matters this week

September 18 sits inside a crowded XR calendar: Snap SPECS on the 16th, Steam Frame still undated inside Valve’s summer window, Meta Connect on the 23rd–24th, and several Quest Early Access drops the same week. URXR One is a different bet — crowdfunded micro-OLED glasses that borrow compute from whatever is already in your bag, priced under a thousand dollars before retail markup.

Crowdfunding is not a store shelf. Hardware timelines slip. What is confirmed tonight is the public Kickstarter state: live, massively overfunded, closing Friday, with Unseen Reality still pointing at mid-October for the glasses themselves. For Metaverse Watcher readers watching the fall glasses stack, that is the clean takeaway — not a hands-on verdict we do not have.
